Chelsey Belliveau Photography and I became internet friends a while back, since we are both wedding photographers here in Nova Scotia. Although we’ve chatted endlessly, we only met for the first time back in April! This month, Chelsey made the trek from Yarmouth to Halifax for her birthday celebration and we squeezed in a mentorship session while she was here.

I met lovely model Sarah Peddle last November, and although we’ve shot many times since then, this will always be my one of my favorite collaborations.
Chavah Designs was kind enough to send us both dresses pictured, and Carrie Burgess (who you may have seen me mention before… she’s an amazing floral artist) provided the stunning bouquet.

Shoot & Share is an annual peer-reviewed photography contest with over 46,000 photographers submitting and 1.1 million photos entered. This was my first year entering, and I am so thrilled to share my results! Out of the 15 images I entered, 2 placed in the top 20% of images and 2 placed in the top 30%. Kristy and Ryan had their wedding at the lovely Beavercreek Winery, a rustic venue in Lawrencetown with over 21 different kinds of wine. I love the thoughtful details in their day, like the chandelier in the ceremony platform, and the thoughtful bouquet charms for loved ones who were there in spirit.
