Kristina and Steve are recently engaged, head over heels in love, and a dream to photograph. We did their engagement session at Crystal Crescent Beach, just outside of Halifax, and were graced with a gorgeous sunset to finish off the shoot!
Winter may be well on its way, but this beautifully sunny October engagement session is making me feel warm and cozy! Morgaine and Justin met me at my favourite Halifax beach (Crystal Crescent) for their shoot, and just as I had hoped, the light was perfect. I love the small red, autumnal accents in the tall grass that happen in the fall, and the sunsets here CANNOT be beat. Read more to see more of their bright and glowy session.

Read MoreHerring Cove Provincial Park Reserve (also known as the Herring Cove Bluffs) in Halifax, Nova Scotia is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot portraits - you may have seen it featured in a few other blog posts already. It was the perfect location for Mackie and Jesse’s engagement photos, with just a touch of golden light and a nice breeze to keep the bugs at bay. Shoot & Share is an annual peer-reviewed photography contest with over 46,000 photographers submitting and 1.1 million photos entered. This was my first year entering, and I am so thrilled to share my results! Out of the 15 images I entered, 2 placed in the top 20% of images and 2 placed in the top 30%. Christina and Lee were so much fun to work with during their engagement session in Halifax at Point Pleasant Park (even with a few wardrobe mishaps!). Their bubbly, fun attitude is so refreshing and I cannot wait to see them again for their wedding in August!
