Chelsey and Ron tied the knot during a sweet ceremony by the ocean, surrounded by simple greenery, at one of my top five locations - St. Mary’s Boat Club. I absolutely adored their navy blue and gold color scheme, complemented by Ron’s suit (check out his amazing tie!). They had the CUTEST wedding favors too - they met on Tinder and gave out matchbooks embossed with “it’s a match”! These lovebirds were so filled with love and emotion the whole day, and I feel honored that they chose me to capture it.Read More
Back in December, the lovely Jennifer of Jennifer Murphy Beauty and I put together a giveaway for a portrait session with make up application for residents of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ashley Kielbratowski was our contest winner and she chose to use her session for updated photos of herself and her co-founders at Harbr Retail AI! After some glam time in Jen’s studio, I met up with Ashley, Jeff, and Dave to shoot these portraits in their office space in downtown Halifax.Read More
Point Pleasant Park here in Halifax is one of the most popular requests I get for engagement sessions. It’s a beautiful park, and I try to make each couple’s session feel unique. I had the opportunity to play with more of a film style for this session with Mandy and Stephen and I love how it turned out! These edits are based on vintage films (primarily Delta 3200 and Ektar films) and I think they suit their session perfectly.Read More
Rachael and Ben are two of the kindest people you could ever meet. Their whole wedding day radiated LOVE; from the father/daughter first look - which brought tears to everyone’s eyes - to their first dance as a married couple, you could feel the warmth and emotion from everyone in attendance. They got married at Oakfield Golf & Country Club, which coincidentally, is where they met and fell in love! Lindsey and I had such a wonderful time cruising around on golf carts (my first time learning to drive them) and capturing this gorgeous day.Read More
I’m into celebrating women everyday, but today is extra special - it’s International Women’s Day! I hope you all take some time to appreciate the strong women in your life this weekend.
I’ve been so lucky to have worked with some absolutely phenomenal women over the past few months - one of them being Ka, an amazing inked model, burlesque dancer, and total badass. We had an all around amazing team of women working on this shoot. Scroll down for more!Read More
Emma and Sandrico chose one of my all time favorite locations for their engagement session - any guesses on where this is? Their cozy fall session was perfectly matched by the Halifax coastline and I just loved shooting with them. They couldn’t stop laughing and are just SO adorable! #relationshipgoalsRead More
Mandy and Stephen had such a sweet and sunny September wedding with beautiful Long Lake as their backdrop! These two kept it traditional, forgoing the idea of a first look and saving it for Mandy’s walk down the aisle. You could really feel the love from their families on their special day; the kids were involved in the wedding and the reception was filled with loving family members (and some teary-eyed speeches). Keep reading to see more from their elegant ceremony and reception!Read More
Katherine and Roger are getting married in September 2019 (I can’t wait to be there to photograph it!), and these two didn’t want to wait until the spring for their engagement session! When Katherine suggested an in-home session, I was thrilled - partially because I knew their adorable pup, Murphy, would be hanging out with us too. Katherine is an amazing baker, and I loved this idea because it really gives a glimpse into how her and Rog hang out at home. Plus, I got to take the cookies home! Scroll down for more from this adorable lifestyle engagement session.Read More
Shannon and I had the chance to work together a couple of months ago to shoot boudoir and I’m so glad we did! Shannon has been modeling since she was young and is a total professional. She is so much fun to work with, and I can’t wait to do it all over again in March for our next collaboration (stay tuned for more)….Read More
Nora and Sean were two of my absolute sweetest clients this past year. They tied the knot in their local church, followed by a reception at Nora’s family’s home - it was such a gorgeous spot! Every part of the day was picture perfect, from the apple trees in Sean’s grandmother’s yard to finishing the day with a beautiful sunset over the field at Nora’s family’s property.
Their wedding had so many personal details and sentimental moments that I absolutely loved. Nora had an emotional first look with her father (be still my heart!) - scroll down to see - and one of my favorite reception details was the table numbers; along with each number, they had a photo of them at the same age (how cool is that!).
