Danielle Grasley is one of my favourite double threat (hair AND makeup) artists here in Nova Scotia. You’ve probably seen her mentioned on my Instagram or in previous posts - we’ve worked together a lot! Shoot & Share is an annual peer-reviewed photography contest with over 46,000 photographers submitting and 1.1 million photos entered. This was my first year entering, and I am so thrilled to share my results! Out of the 15 images I entered, 2 placed in the top 20% of images and 2 placed in the top 30%. When Katherine suggested an in-home session, I was thrilled - partially because I knew their adorable pup, Murphy, would be hanging out with us too. Katherine is an amazing baker, and I loved this idea because it really gives a glimpse into how her and Rog hang out at home. Plus, I got to take the cookies home! Andrea from Lupin Design Studio designed the gorgeous stationary and menu details, and Shannon from One Day Affairs provided the gorgeous faux floral pieces. Rentals (including that to-die-for green velvet tablecloth) were provided by Glow Parties and Events. Location was RIO Halifax which added a cool industrial feel!
