Kelby and Alex tied the knot in a stunning rural location in Pomquet, Nova Scotia, this past Saturday at the charming Chez Deslauriers property. There were (happy!) tears shed, children running and laughing, and the coolest bar I’ve seen to date - oh, and did I mention the pigs? Read more for some previews from their big day.Read More

Herring Cove Provincial Park Reserve (also known as the Herring Cove Bluffs) in Halifax, Nova Scotia is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot portraits - you may have seen it featured in a few other blog posts already. It was the perfect location for Mackie and Jesse’s engagement photos, with just a touch of golden light and a nice breeze to keep the bugs at bay. These two were so comfortable with each other, and the love between them was obvious - such a dream to photograph! Scroll through to see more from their session!Read More
Sunset, lens flares, ocean view, oh my! Jill & Talon are my kind of people - barefoot and fancy free, we photographed their engagement session in one of my favorite locations while the sun went down. They were all laughs, and they absolutely rocked their session! I can’t wait to photograph their big day in September.Read More
I didn’t get the chance to meet Kirsten and Brayden before their wedding, but I can’t imagine a warmer welcome - these two make up one of the kindest, sweetest couples I’ve had the chance to photograph. They fell in love as teenagers after meeting in their local youth group and haven’t looked back since!
I made the drive to Pictou County on Saturday to photograph their beautiful wedding day, hosted at Parker’s Barn. Their day was filled with emotional and sentimental touches; from the father-daughter first look at Allan Park, to a ring box made from a tree that was planted when Kirsten was born. One of my favorite parts of the day was during their ceremony, they asked the people in their lives who they considered their spiritual leaders to pray over them as they entered a new life together - there were many tears in the crowd (me included!), and I thought it such a beautiful way to pay homage to those who helped them grow together.
Here are some previews from their special day - congratulations Kirsten & Brayden!Read More

Instead of waiting for better weather, Tabatha and Connor decided to move things inside and invited me into their lovely home! These two are getting married at The Lord Nelson in Halifax next May and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day. Read more to see of my favorite images from this session!Read More
