Mandy and Stephen had such a sweet and sunny September wedding with beautiful Long Lake as their backdrop! These two kept it traditional, forgoing the idea of a first look and saving it for Mandy’s walk down the aisle. You could really feel the love from their families on their special day; the kids were involved in the wedding and the reception was filled with loving family members (and some teary-eyed speeches). Keep reading to see more from their elegant ceremony and reception!Read More
Katherine and Roger are getting married in September 2019 (I can’t wait to be there to photograph it!), and these two didn’t want to wait until the spring for their engagement session! When Katherine suggested an in-home session, I was thrilled - partially because I knew their adorable pup, Murphy, would be hanging out with us too. Katherine is an amazing baker, and I loved this idea because it really gives a glimpse into how her and Rog hang out at home. Plus, I got to take the cookies home! Shannon and I had the chance to work together a couple of months ago to shoot boudoir and I’m so glad we did! Shannon has been modeling since she was young and is a total professional. She is so much fun to work with, and I can’t wait to do it all over again in March for our next collaboration (stay tuned for more)….Read More
Nora and Sean were two of my absolute sweetest clients this past year. They tied the knot in their local church, followed by a reception at Nora’s family’s home - it was such a gorgeous spot! Every part of the day was picture perfect, from the apple trees in Sean’s grandmother’s yard to finishing the day with a beautiful sunset over the field at Nora’s family’s property.
Their wedding had so many personal details and sentimental moments that I absolutely loved. Nora had an emotional first look with her father (be still my heart!) - scroll down to see - and one of my favorite reception details was the table numbers; along with each number, they had a photo of them at the same age (how cool is that!). Andrea from Lupin Design Studio designed the gorgeous stationary and menu details, and Shannon from One Day Affairs provided the gorgeous faux floral pieces. Rentals (including that to-die-for green velvet tablecloth) were provided by Glow Parties and Events. Location was RIO Halifax which added a cool industrial feel!Read More
After working as a wedding photographer for the last several years, something I’ve learned to place a lot of importance on whether a photographer and client are a good fit. I had the opportunity to work with Maggie for the first time back in November, during a day of boudoir shooting with Emily Doyle and Mike Swiech at King’s Wharf in Dartmouth. The lovely Chavah Designs loaned us a few pieces to play with, and we had a blast with a fantastic group of models and a talented hair and make up team - along with a few mimosas!Read More
Today I’m reminiscing about a sunny July wedding by the water at one of my favorite venues, Saraguay House. I absolutely love their waterfront location for ceremonies and the indoor reception area with wall to wall windows!
Martina and Scott were such a fun and relaxed couple to work with, and weathered both sprinkles of rain and scorching sun on their big day! Luckily, no one got too wet and the celebration went by without a hitch. Scroll down for more from their wedding day - including the cool getting ready location for Martina, DIY Mom’s house!Read More
